About

Kulambiro community school for the Deaf was founded by the Director (AOKU FRANCIS). He was inspired by a vision; For every Deaf child to develop self reliant towards his or her future and are leading in providing excellent education and information service for the Deaf children. Kulambiro community school for the Deaf is a Nonprofit Organization  that is dedicated to provide free quality education and spiritual growth to orphans and vulnerable children with special needs. The organization was established in 2019 and is legally registered with the Government of Uganda.

A number of deaf children in the community of Kulambiro have never had access to quality education because most parents of deaf children have no money to pay the school fees for them due to low income, deaf children are seen as child labourers, oppressed and a curse.

MISSION STATEMENT
To equip every Deaf child with knowledge, skills and experiences to excel in academic and long-life learning.
We are committed to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and provide services to the needy children with disabilities who are abandoned or orphans. The  school offers the following programs; free education, healthcare, spiritual growth and nutritious meals to orphaned and vulnerable Deaf children.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

1. To offer quality education and spiritual growth to special needs children.

2 To promote the status of sign language to special needs children

3. To cooperate and partner with NGO's, national and international bodies with similar objectives of the organisation.

COST OF SPONSORSHIP.

For $ 25 per month, the sponsorship fees will go directly to your child (If you pay extra sponsorship fees, the sponsorship fees will go directly to your child).

WHAT SPONSORS PROVIDES FOR YOUR CHILD?

Through child sponsorship you are providing financial assistance to an orphaned or disadvantaged child. Your loving support provides him or her with quality education, daily meals, uniforms, water and medical care.

CHILD UPDATES

Sponsoring a child is a unique and life changing experience, not only for the child but also the sponsor. We hope to provide you with:

1. Letters from the child who receives support via your sponsorship.

2. Quarterly updates on your sponsored child.

3. Pictures of the student you sponsor from the school director.

PAYING SPONSORSHIP FEES

Payment can be made via western Union, wave, world remit and PayPal in order to maintain consistent care for the children in our program. Payments can be made monthly, quarterly or annually. Due to school fees needing to be paid at once, and due to transfer costs, we recommend quarterly or annual payments. It is the sponsors responsibility to make payments in a timely manner. For the sponsors and/ or donors who would like to sponsor your child or donate items such as balls, ropes, books, pens, pencils, shoes, school bags, colored pencils/crayons, clothes and many more, can email us for more information.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CENTER

 In addition, the school operates and partners with women empowerment center whereby the school recruits job skilled women in tailoring, shoemaking, sandal making, knitting and many more products.
